This web site was developed using the most prosaic of methods. Currently, I use the Crimson text editor, because a) it’s good (meaning it supports tabs and color-coded syntax for different file types), and b) it’s free. Everything is written in XHTML 1.0 Strict, because it’s the right thing to do. Positioning and layout are performed using CSS 2.1 compatible stylesheets.
Because some browsers are not quite up to date in their support of Web standards, other browsers will do a better job of displaying the pages exactly as I intended. Still, everything should be perfectly visible and usable in any browser. In fact, even if you view these pages in a text-only browser, you should find you can easily understand and navigate the content. And after all, that was the original intent of the Web in the first place.
