fun and games.

On the lighter side, I like a variety of different things. My primary occupation in life is
pleasing my beautiful wife, and making her as happy as humanly possible. We share a number of interests, including food and wine, which we’re always looking for new experiences with. We also take ballroom dance lessons, and like to go out dancing from time to time.

From childhood, I’ve been a devotee of video games of all kinds. I grew up haunting the video arcades in my hometown, and when I got my first real computer (a TI-99/4A) at the age of 10, I went all out trying to figure out how to recreate the graphics of my favorite games. (Sprite graphics were my favorite!) As an “adult”, I still enjoy console and computer gaming.

I maintain a fan website about the Ultima computer game series, called the
Notable Ultima. Although outdated, a lot of people seem to enjoy the nostalgia of thinking about these old games they played growing up. Sadly, the company that created Ultima, Origin Systems, all but folded in 2004, as parent company Electronic Arts closed down their offices in Austin, TX and laid off most of the developement staff. For my money, the best
computer game of all time will always be Ultima Underworld.
